Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance Specialist operates under moderate oversight and independently manages larger, moderately complex projects or tasks.

Engages with contacts both within and outside of the team, which may include clients or suppliers. Makes fundamental adjustments to systems and processes to address issues. Strives to meet operational objectives that influence departmental outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:


Utilizes engineering knowledge and expertise to facilitate communication between team members and client counterparts, ensuring that the hardware adheres to specifications.

Addresses and communicates deviations/nonconformance at various levels within the organization.

Possesses an understanding of typical aerospace processes (machining, welding, non-destructive testing, etc.) and their application to the manufactured hardware.

Implements contemporary quality principles, concepts, and methodologies to routine aerospace and manufacturing operations, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools.

Interprets engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality standards, and company quality guidelines to guarantee compliance with customer expectations.
Participates in the assessment and resolution of nonconforming products.

Collaborates with the Material Review Board (MRB) to provide technical justification when a nonconformance to mutually agreed specifications is identified.

Conducts documentation reviews in support of hardware acceptance (HAR) activities.
Oversees product qualification, recurring testing, and test report generation.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of relevant Quality Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of related Quality Engineering experience. Alternatively, a minimum of 8 years of relevant Quality Engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Skills:


Strong interpersonal abilities with the capacity to effectively establish positive working relationships with various operational groups, employees at all levels, suppliers, and clients.

Experience in product development within a multi-functional team environment is preferred.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $76,500 MIN - $142,500 MAX.

This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amounts may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
