Job Purpose

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing environmental regulatory compliance and sustainability performance programs in alignment with regulatory requirements, business plans, and company direction. Your expertise will ensure the successful implementation of operational and critical systems updates to support regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance on the operation of FAC-ENV mechanical and electrical systems, including electrical panels, controls, pumps, air compressors, chillers, heat exchangers, metering, and Building Management System.
  • Manage and maintain documentation for the FAC-ENV systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting.
  • Develop and implement monthly Green Factory utility reporting and tracking for FAC-ENV, simplifying and systemizing the reporting approach.
  • Develop and manage FAC-ENV utility budgets, identifying and implementing investment projects to improve and maintain utility systems.
  • Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life, aligning with our triple zero mindset.
  • Lead meetings with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities, building mutually beneficial relationships.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five years of environmental experience or equivalent Honda manufacturing experience, with a passion for environmental sustainability.
  • Experience with and understanding of environmental regulations and facilities-related equipment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and lead multiple projects.
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative environment.
  • Effective planning and prioritization skills.
  • Reliable and flexible.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with contractors and production associates.
  • Working knowledge of environmental compliance requirements.
  • General understanding of business plans, budgeting, and cost reporting.
  • Ability to effectively perform root cause analysis and implement countermeasures.
Work Environment
  • Ability to work overtime (approximately 2-4 hours per week).
  • Ability to work in an office and plant environment.
  • Willingness to work appropriate weekends and shutdowns to manage projects and cover environmental needs.
  • Minimal travel requirements (possible 2-3 trips per year).
