Job Overview

Command Holdings is actively seeking a Joint Special Operations Trainer (Sustainment) IV to support a prominent initiative aimed at delivering training and exercise assistance to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). This role involves collaborating with Geographic Combatant Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) Headquarters to facilitate the planning, coordination, and execution of both functional and joint collective training focused on operational and strategic warfare levels.

The selected candidate will leverage their expertise to provide strategic and operational-level joint training, particularly in the realm of Joint Sustainment and Logistics. Responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive research, analysis, and training to enhance the readiness and exercise programs of Theater Special Operations Commands, SOF Service Components, and joint SOF Task Force Commanders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SOF and Joint Enterprise training requirements through ongoing research and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop effective training methodologies and materials grounded in Adult Learning principles to instruct Battle Staffs on essential SOF core activities and joint HQ tasks.
  • Foster strong relationships with operational and strategic planners within USSOCOM HQs and other relevant organizations to ensure cohesive exercise design and execution.
  • Contribute to exercise design, JELC planning, scenario development, key staff role playing, and training observations.
  • Employ the ADDIE model to assess training needs, create training materials, and deliver both in-person and online training sessions.
  • Review and refine event concepts, ensuring alignment with mission objectives and utilizing real-world scenarios.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate to loud noise levels typical of office and operational environments.
  • Extended periods of computer use may be required.
  • Ability to work in confined and remote locations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Frequent use of hands for computer operation.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to drive in various environments.

Travel Requirements:

  • Regular travel (21-49%) may be necessary, including potential trips to remote locations.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • 10 years of experience in Joint sustainment and logistics.
  • 8 years of tactical and operational level sustainment/logistics experience.
  • 6 years of experience in joint operations and planning.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SOF operational environments.
  • Knowledge of Joint Doctrine and operational planning processes.
  • Experience in exercise and scenario design.
