Job Title: Shipping and Assembly Technician

At Wabtec Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Shipping and Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our shipping and receiving department, you will be responsible for assembling, packaging, and labeling materials according to company or customer drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble components using hand and power tools.
  • Inspect components and complete assemblies for conformity.
  • Exhibit safe work habits adhering to all PPE and OSHA requirements for assigned area.
  • Report to work at scheduled time every day and be prepared to begin work at the start of your shift.
  • Maintain housekeeping in your work area and throughout the building.
  • Packaging product to ensure it will arrive to customer in acceptable condition.
  • Return all tools and equipment at the end of your shift to maintain a clean and safe working environment for all.
Requirements:
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and warehouse components is helpful but not required.
  • High School graduate or general education degree required.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and follow work instructions.
  • Ability to assemble product in accordance with customer or company drawings and specifications.
  • Communication skills.
Working Environment:

The employee will normally work on the production floor and may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. May occasionally be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, and loud noise.
