Per Diem Occupational Therapist Job Description

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team

As a Per Diem Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in our multi-disciplinary team, working closely with colleagues to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review occupational therapy treatment goals through dynamic and standardized assessment tools.
  • Consult closely with multi-disciplinary team members to create collaborative treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual therapy sessions, as well as group and/or co-treats with other disciplines as therapeutically appropriate.
  • Maintain patient records, documentation, and appropriate billing in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policy.
  • Provide play-based and goal-based interventions to promote sensory processing, regulation, and skill development in daily occupations.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Collaborate with the individual and family to understand their values, interests, and goals.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in a similar setting and strong documentation, time management, and clinical skills.
  • Current Occupational Therapy License in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills that allow you to work with a variety of clients and diagnoses.
  • Flexibility and openness to learning.
  • Appreciation for a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Passion for working with children.
  • Skilled at using software and systems, including electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
