Banquet Houseperson

Are you a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences? We're seeking a skilled Banquet Houseperson to join our team at Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review event orders and assignment sheets to determine function requirements
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed, including doors, door frames, walls, air walls, and assigned areas
• Conduct thorough cleaning inspections for each meeting room and assigned area
• Maintain cleanliness standards and excellent condition of equipment and surrounding work areas
• Communicate promptly with guests regarding requests and changes
• Manage inventory and report any losses to supervisors or managers
• Notify Banquet Manager or Conference Coordinators of guest request changes
• Ensure all equipment is kept in clean working condition

Supportive Functions:

• Promote teamwork and collaboration among colleagues
• Notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems or unusual matters
• Provide exceptional guest service, being polite, friendly, and helpful
• Attend hotel meetings and training sessions to stay informed and up-to-date
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hotel standards
• Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards
• Comply with required safety regulations and procedures
• Comply with hotel standards, policies, and rules
• Recycle whenever possible
• Remain current with hotel information and changes
• Comply with hotel uniform and grooming standards

Requirements:

• Exceptional guest service skills
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 100 pounds repetitively during the entire shift
• Ability to push, pull, or otherwise move portable table/chair cart units from storage to function rooms
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for long periods
