Key Responsibilities- Design and implement clinical education programs to foster high-quality care through evidence-based practice, performance improvement activities, and professional staff development.
- Collaborate with education staff across the enterprise to develop an annual training calendar, ensuring a coordinated approach to ongoing programs.
- Ensure clinical education programs align with the CMS Triple Aim framework, improving patient experience, population health, and reducing healthcare costs.
- Develop and implement education programs that address patient-centered needs, identifying and communicating protocols and standards of care for diverse patient populations.
- Manage the implementation of clinical staff development programs, including orientation, in-services, training, and other learning activities.
- Review program-specific educational program outcomes and evaluations to determine areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.
- Train and oversee training of new and current staff in VNS Health philosophy, policy, standards, procedures, documentation, and efficient work processes.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of newly hired staff and staff referred for remedial or additional training.
- Design and modify existing educational curriculum and training materials to ensure staff has current knowledge and competencies to meet program contractual and regulatory compliance.
- Conduct educational needs assessments in collaboration with operations staff to identify learning needs among staff.
- Develop education programs, such as workshops and group learning activities, to address performance issues and develop performance improvement plans for tenured employees.
- Participate in the development of revised programs and materials, communicating ongoing e-learning opportunities and evaluating e-learning usage and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Quality department in the development and implementation of education-related training programs.
- Current license and registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent work experience required.
- Master's Degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum four years' experience in a community-based or long-term home health setting, including at least two years with a primary focus on education and training.
- Medicare experience strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, patient care, care coordination, case management, and clinical processes required.
- Experience assessing and designing clinical education programs preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare setting in a teaching capacity with an understanding of adult education and learning processes preferred.
- Knowledge of computer applications required.
