Job Overview

At Oregon Spice Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Blending Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality of our custom blends and spices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of our Global Food Safety Initiative system.
  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).
  • Accurately record information on company documents and maintain accurate records.
  • Read and follow instructions on blend sheets to ensure precise blending.
  • Identify and retrieve the correct spices for blending, prepare the blending area, and log lot numbers.
  • Weigh spices according to recipes using a scale and prepare packages for shipping.
  • Clean equipment, work areas, and warehouse to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Basic math skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to quality and accuracy in all aspects of the job.
  • Prior experience in packaging, production, or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs throughout the shift and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Staging and/or forklift experience is a plus.
  • Food production experience with a focus on food safety is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and a strong sense of teamwork.
  • Demonstrated strong attendance and reliability in prior roles.
