Job Details

The Patient Care Tech will provide critical support to patients and staff in the Observation Unit, performing a variety of clinical and patient care-related functions under the direction of the clinical RN or physician.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited CNA program, and BLS certification through the American Heart Association. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collects and transports specimens as assigned
  • Obtains 12-lead EKGs
  • Discontinues saline locks and indwelling urinary catheters
  • Performs bladder scans
  • Assists patients with personal hygiene and nutritional needs

The Patient Care Tech will also serve as a Safety Attendant/Telesitter Monitor, maintaining visual observation at all times, providing prompt notification to the care team if a patient requires assistance, and monitoring and maintaining patient environmental safety.

We offer a competitive salary range of $19.25-$26.00 per hour, based on experience, as well as comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and paid time off.
