Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seafood Department Lead Associate to join our team. As a key member of our seafood department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process seafood deliveries, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Weigh, price, and label seafood products to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Stock and rotate seafood cases to ensure maximum visibility and freshness.
  • Prepare and present valued-added seafood products to meet customer demands.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge, making recommendations to customers and driving sales growth.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering and receiving seafood products to meet customer demands.
  • Meet sales, gross profit, shrink, and labor targets, ensuring the seafood department's financial performance.
  • Reconcile invoices and execute weekly merchandise plans to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Train and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and food safety, ensuring a clean and safe store environment.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure seafood products meet our high standards.
  • Process cuts for service counter or special orders, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
  • Set service case and production planning to meet customer demands.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
