Job Description

The Analytical Department at Albemarle is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to lead site compliance with ISO standards and provide technology leadership to the site quality control laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master site chemistries in all production processes to troubleshoot and resolve analytical issues.
  • Provide technical guidance to laboratory technicians on daily analytical operations.
  • Maintain and improve the LIMS system to support improved workflows.
  • Develop robust chemical analysis methods for routine analysis.
  • Interpret analytical and process data to communicate conclusions to site technical staff and customers.
  • Maintain excellence in safety, health, and environment practices.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or Chemistry with experience in organometallic chemistry, quantitative NMR analysis, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial lab setting required, 5 years preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong interest in industrial analytical chemistry for a wide variety of products.
