About the Role

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide in-home assistance to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hattiesburg, MS.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily activities, such as personal care and household tasks
  • Provide emotional support and supervision during community outings
  • Support treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support
  • Act as a model for appropriate behavior and demonstrate the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships
  • Assist with job exploration, application, and training individuals on job-specific duties to enhance natural supports in the work environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be able to obtain MS CDL Class C Driver's License within 60 days of hire
  • Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record (no moving violations within 3 years)
  • Will pass CPR, MANDT, and other required testing
  • Experience working with the IDD population preferred
