At District Taco-Alexandria, our leaders are not just in charge; they inspire and guide their teams. You will play a pivotal role in crafting and sustaining an exceptional customer experience by ensuring that our food is prepared and served safely while upholding our high standards of quality.
Core Responsibilities of the Shift Manager:
- Ensuring quality by supervising staff and sampling products at different stages of preparation.
- Implementing District Taco's safe food handling practices in accordance with the HACCP plan.
- Managing all facets of food preparation.
- Guaranteeing that the restaurant opens and closes in alignment with company protocols.
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and team members regarding concerns and requirements.
- Evaluating team morale and enthusiasm to identify opportunities for enhancing Team Member wellbeing.
- Fostering healthy communication among team members.
- Setting clear expectations for Team Members and guiding them to achieve established goals.
- Recognizing both positive and negative behaviors through structured feedback processes.
- Monitoring hourly labor, coordinating breaks, and managing clock-out procedures for Team Members.
- Organizing storage areas to ensure proper rotation of goods.
- Assessing supply needs and placing orders for the restaurant.
- Overseeing catering orders.
- Regulating alcohol sales to ensure compliance with handling guidelines.
- Ensuring accurate cash handling and logging throughout shifts.
- Engaging with guests and Team Members to guarantee customer satisfaction.
- Addressing customer service issues as they arise.
Qualifications for the Shift Manager:
- Certification as a District Taco Trainer.
- Strong communication, listening, collaboration, adaptability, empathy, and patience skills.
- A genuine passion for implementing all operational procedures at District Taco.
- Thorough knowledge of District Taco's Team Member Policies.
- Understanding of food safety and health department regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the workplace.
