Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Security Systems Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of various security systems for residential clients. This role involves a range of tasks from initial setup to ongoing support and troubleshooting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage installation and service requests for home security systems.
  • Install and maintain alarm systems, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and fire alarms.
  • Conduct new system installations, upgrades, and additions to existing systems.
  • Provide diagnostic and troubleshooting services to resolve customer issues effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work will be conducted primarily in residential settings and small business locations.

EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • VEHICLE: A reliable personal vehicle is required for job-related travel.
  • TOOLS: Access to a little giant ladder, basic hand tools, and a smartphone is necessary.
  • Essential tools include: 4 ft and 6 ft ladders, Butt Set, Toner, Meter, Corded Drill, Cordless Drill, Fish Tape, and Basic Hand Tools.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday (8am-5pm) or Tuesday to Saturday.
  • OVERTIME: Willingness to work overtime during peak periods is required.
  • COMPENSATION:
    • Training Rate: $18/hour (training duration typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks).
    • Compensation based on production/piece rate, determined by the number of completed jobs.
    • Eligible for TEKsystems Health Benefits.
