Member Experience Associate

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Member Experience Associate to join our team. As a Member Experience Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and assistance to YMCA members, prospective members, and guests. You will be the first point of contact for many members, and your warm smile and friendly demeanor will set the tone for their experience at the YMCA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and guests through greeting, managing, and addressing member concerns
  • Maintain a neat and organized work area while engaging with members and families
  • Build a positive first impression with a warm smile and personal greeting for all who encounter the YMCA
  • Perform other assigned duties as directed by Supervisor
Requirements
  • At minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent (18+ years of age)
  • Experience in customer service, preferably in a busy atmosphere, and typing knowledge
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, friendly, outgoing, accurate, neat, dependable, and a self-starter
