Position Summary

The role of the Mixologist is essential for the vibrant atmosphere of the hotel's social venues. In this position, you will be tasked with preparing, serving, and maintaining the bar area while upholding outstanding quality, consistency, and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patrons warmly at the bar and promote specialty drinks to enhance revenue through effective upselling techniques.
  • Craft beverages based on customer preferences, adhering to established pouring standards and drink recipes to ensure a uniform product while managing costs efficiently. Collaborate with the restaurant(s) for food service to bar/lounge guests as needed.
  • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to assess when to cease alcohol service, reporting any instances of excessive consumption or impaired guests to management, and verifying IDs as required.
  • Address service and safety concerns promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction by adhering to established service recovery protocols.
  • Prepare the bar area with spirits, mixers, garnishes, and supplies, completing pre- and post-shift tasks. Track unused liquor and beverages, ensuring compliance with proper storage practices.
  • Accurately process cash and credit transactions, balancing the cash drawer at the end of your shift. Maintain a clean and organized bar area while securing the bartender's bank.
  • Regularly assess the bar for cleanliness and operational functionality, performing necessary cleaning and maintenance tasks. Promote teamwork and exceptional service through effective communication with other departments.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned.
