Job Title: Aviation Maintenance Technician

Chipton-Ross is seeking skilled Aviation Maintenance Technicians for a contract opportunity in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) tasks on aircraft and components.
  • Work with a team to support key programs, including military and commercial derivatives.
  • Adhere to established processes and ensure accurate and timely work recording.
  • Comply with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and repair or replace damaged or worn-out parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, process data sheets, and maintenance instruction manuals.
  • Use precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure accurate measurements and repairs.
  • Perform structural repairs and modifications on aircraft and components.
  • Utilize assembly jigs, repair equipment, and other fixed tooling to locate parts, trim, and assemble components.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of maintenance documentation and technical log books.
  • Highlight any technical issues or discrepancies to the program lead and manager.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Aircraft Mechanic or relevant trade apprenticeship.
  • Ability to close tolerance drill within.001 and precision measure within.0005 in metallic and composite structures.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is desirable.
Work Environment:

Candidates must be available to work both 1st and 2nd shift.

Regular and predicted attendance is required.
