Job Purpose:
The Bartender plays a crucial role in creating enjoyable experiences for guests by preparing and serving a variety of beverages. This position involves mixing, garnishing, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks in accordance with company standards while also assisting with menu selections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the identification and age of guests and members.
- Craft both traditional and innovative cocktails.
- Handle payment transactions efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of glasses, bar tools, and the bar area.
- Offer food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Manage tabs throughout the shift.
Compensation: $16 per hour
Qualifications:
- Must meet the legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages; relevant state certification may be required.
- Familiarity with various drink ingredients and food service etiquette.
- Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience with cash and credit card transactions.
- Basic math skills and proficiency with point-of-sale systems.
- Proficient in using bar equipment such as blenders, coffee makers, and dishwashers.
Education:
- A high school diploma is required; specialty training is preferred.
- T.A.B.C. Certification is mandatory.
