Key Responsibilities- Analyze material and material conditions for ships assigned, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize logistics operations.
- Maintain a database for feedback and analysis of systems and processes, providing insights to inform logistics decisions and drive business growth.
- Support availability planning and execution programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and supplies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging expertise in logistics, inventory management, and financial management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in DoD logistics, AIS management, inventory management, and financial management.
- Proven expertise in the use of Navy and DoD databases and tools, including ICAPS, JETDAS, CDMD-OA, TDMIS, and NAVY ONE TOUCH.
- Experience with Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP) and Military Standard Transaction Reporting & Accounting Procedure(s) (MILSTRAP).
- Knowledge of Expanded Ship Work Breakdown Structure (ESWBS) and Hierarchical Structure Code (HSC) usage.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Programs and ability to communicate effectively with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or Associate's degree in a technical or business area with 4 or more years of Navy C4I experience, or High School Diploma with 8 or more years of Navy C4I systems experience.
- Secret Security Clearance required.
- Demonstrated Logistics Certificate or Certified Professional Logistician certification.
