We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical team at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
Responsibilities- Under the direction of an RN, contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. Administer medication per scope of practice.
- Document patient care given.
- Assist RN with development of plan of care.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Minimum Education: Associates Degree or Diploma in LPN required.
- Required Skills: Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licenses: Current LPN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state compact license).
- Minimum Work Experience: At least 1 year of LPN experience (acute care experience preferred).
