Position Summary:
This role is situated within our West Assembly sector, focusing on a variety of assembly tasks that involve electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical components. Responsibilities may encompass strain gage bonding, wiring and soldering, calibration, testing, potting, and general mechanical assembly.
Work Schedule:
The standard work hours for this position are Monday to Thursday from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a half-hour lunch break. Overtime may be required on Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays, typically consisting of shorter workdays.
Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is $19.47.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize various power tools, hand tools, and material handling equipment as necessary.
- Engage in multiple workstations and handle a range of products.
- Retrieve components from various heights, including floor and overhead.
- Interpret and understand technical drawings, work aids, and safety documentation.
- Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, actively participating in 5S and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Occasionally work with materials that may be hazardous, adhering to safety protocols.
- Perform preventive maintenance and report any equipment issues requiring technical attention.
- Assist in guiding workflow and training new team members as directed by supervisors.
- Foster a collaborative and positive communication environment with team members.
- Exhibit technical proficiency and quality assurance in all tasks.
- Achieve production output levels consistent with company standards.
- Adhere to scheduled work times and break periods.
- Utilize computer systems for logging in/out and managing time-off requests.
- Complete necessary paperwork and data entry tasks.
- Be adaptable to different product lines as needed to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications:
Skills: Essential skills include self-management, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication. Basic counting and soldering skills are advantageous, along with familiarity with computers and keyboarding.
Physical Requirements: Candidates must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, possess good hand-eye coordination, and be capable of walking significant distances throughout the workday. The ability to lift and manage 25 lbs overhead momentarily is required.
Other Abilities: Must be able to follow instructions in English from various sources, retain training information, and collaborate effectively with diverse team members. A strong work ethic and self-motivation with minimal supervision are essential.
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Availability: Willingness to participate in voluntary overtime when available and manage paid time off responsibly.
