Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at Acloche-Direct Hire. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing EHS initiatives and programs across our supply chain logistic operations.

The EHS Representative will work closely with our Regional, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, and other site leaders to drive cultural transformation and support company-wide EHS initiatives. This includes mentoring the safety committee chair, conducting safety inspections and audits, and assisting with the development of safety training programs.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in EHS, with experience in designing, managing, and administering EHS programs. They will also have excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify, monitor, and respond to developing trends in EHS.

We are looking for a collaborative leader who is confident and assertive in style, but respectful of others. The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with regional leaders, site leaders, and individual contributor team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in identifying, developing, and delivering EHS training and training materials
  • Monitor EHS-related computer-based training
  • Assemble and distribute EHS-related metrics and reports
  • Conduct periodic EHS audits and behavioral assessments
  • Track regional corrective actions associated with EHS audits
  • Ensure all EHS and environmental compliance issues are current
  • Primary contact for EHS compliance issues
  • Assist in incident investigation and follow-up
  • Mentor plant safety committees and chairperson
  • Work with plant leadership to improve understanding and promote EHS culture
Requirements
  • Three or more years of progressively responsible EHS experience
  • Experience in designing, managing, and administering EHS programs
  • Possesses relentless passion and tenacity on proactive EHS culture
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Federal and State regulations impacting EHS
  • Tactical expertise and knowledge of EHS program systems, processes, and tools
  • Superior organizational, project management, and technical skills
  • Related licenses, certifications, and/or memberships in professional associations preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
