Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Professional to join our team at the Everett Housing Authority. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash and recyclables, and restocking supplies.
  • Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers, to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and performing minor repairs.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Education, GED or equivalent.
  • Janitorial work and procedures; cleaners and polishes.
  • Ability to work well independently; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to speak and understand English.
  • Must be personally bondable for insurance purposes; valid Washington State Driver's License and good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience working for a housing authority.
  • Prior experience working as a custodian in an occupied building.
  • Prior experience working with low-income and diverse populations.
