About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Nurse Practitioner to join our team at UT Health Science Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct complex patient assessments and physical examinations, and provide appropriate treatment.
  • Coordinate, direct, and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform minor surgical procedures as delegated by the supervising physician.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative patients in coordination with the faculty supervising physician.
  • Utilize advanced assessment skills to anticipate complex patient problems specific to surgery.
Requirements
  • Current Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse
  • Current Texas Licensure as a APRN - NP
  • Current RN First Assist Certification and specialty certification as required by department
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or specialty certification as required by department
