Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our team at Medix. As a key member of our revenue operations department, you will be responsible for processing patient insurance information, submitting claims, and collecting payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process patient insurance information through the intake process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of insurance claims.
  • Collect payment on outstanding patient balances.
  • Communicate with insurance payers to ensure proper coverage for our patients or timely and accurate reimbursement for dialysis services.
  • Review and submit system setup requests to ensure center and payer information is loaded into the billing system.
  • Respond timely and accurately to payer communications.
  • Collaborate with other revenue operations teams to ensure seamless processes across teams.
  • Partner with clinics teammates to ensure timely and accurate insurance information.
  • Help identify process changes and opportunities for continuous improvements.
  • Maintain current patient account information at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.

Requirements:

  • High level customer service experience with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Computer proficiency, with the ability to troubleshoot and work on different platforms and MS products.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with insurance payors, employers, and other teams.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify the best course of action.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in teams and with other departments.
