Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bulk Foods Clerk to join our team at WinCo Foods. As a Bulk Foods Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining the condition of the bulk food department, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring product quality and selection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and maintain the condition of the bulk food department, including bulk food bins and machines.
  • Provide friendly and courteous customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Ensure product quality and selection.
  • Perform other related work, including breaking down freight, placing product in barrels and dispensers, and maintaining various machines.
  • Ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Perform customer service duties, including helping customers find product and engaging in suggestive selling techniques.
  • Maintain cleanliness and eye-appeal of work area, storage area, and selling floor.
Requirements:
  • Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work varied shifts between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm in a 24/7 operation, including night, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers to receive orders, upsell, and perform customer relation skills.
  • Ability to conduct visual inspections and read/follow guides, recipes, and product labels.
  • Ability to reach, lift, stack, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 20-30 lbs. frequently, and 30-50 lbs. occasionally within the range of floor level to overhead.
  • Ability to push and pull handtrucks, carts, and pallet jacks containing product of substantial weight.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move rapidly for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, climb ladders, and turn frequently.
  • Ability to perform safe/quick movements and operate related equipment with manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
  • Ability to exhibit manual dexterity and good hand/eye coordination.
  • Ability to exhibit interpersonal skills through oral and written communication.
  • Ability to work with potential hazards with respect to equipment, tools, and work aides.
  • Ability to use cleaning chemicals and handle related food products.
  • Ability to wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment as required.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
Additional Requirements:
  • Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws).
