The Lead Technician role calls for your exceptional skills and technical knowledge to assess drivability and electrical systems. You will also leverage your leadership and mentoring abilities to guide a team towards enhanced customer service and satisfaction.
Compensation Structure:
Hourly Rate: $28.61
Our technicians benefit from a performance-driven compensation model known as flat-rate pay. This system rewards our skilled professionals with a set amount for each qualified task, promoting a culture of efficiency and prompt task completion, ensuring that your expertise and commitment are recognized and rewarded.
These rates reflect average productivity by region.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair vehicles to meet specifications.
- Work on brake and hydraulic systems, exhaust, fuel ignition and electrical systems, suspension and alignment, air conditioning, and computer systems.
- Clearly communicate technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to individuals without mechanical backgrounds.
- Stay updated with the rapidly evolving automotive technology through ongoing paid formal training.
- Support fellow technicians/mechanics in executing technical tasks.
- Maintain a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be capable of operating customer and company vehicles.
To qualify, candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of automotive repair experience, completion of a Vocational-Technical School program in a related field, or demonstrated skills through third-party certifications/assessments.
A.S.E. certification in at least three (3) of the A1-A8 categories is mandatory. New hires with comparable external qualifications/certifications will have up to two years of employment to comply.
Maintain Federal, State, and Local certifications/licenses where applicable.
Strong communication skills are essential for conveying technical information to non-technical individuals.
Basic reading, writing, and math skills are required.
