Position Overview:
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will deliver specialized Speech Pathology services to patients who have been referred for evaluation and treatment. This role encompasses the assessment of patient needs, formulation of tailored treatment plans, and ongoing implementation with appropriate follow-up and discharge strategies. You will also play a vital role in the clinical operations of the department, contributing to program development and performance enhancement initiatives. Additionally, you will oversee the activities of Rehabilitation Technicians, students, and volunteers.
CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover Hills (CSRH-WH) is a prominent healthcare facility with 150 beds, dedicated to serving the rapidly expanding community in San Antonio.
Our hospital offers a wide range of specialized services, including orthopedic and surgical care, intensive care, women's health, a newborn nursery, comprehensive cardiovascular services from diagnostics to surgical interventions, a vascular lab, a sleep center, emergency services, the CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and more.
The facility is also equipped with an Outpatient Imaging Center and three medical plazas, one of which is home to our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program and Family Health Center.
Qualifications:
A Master's degree from an accredited institution in Speech Pathology is mandatory.
At least one and a half (1.5) years of full-time clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist is required.
Must hold a valid license as a Speech Pathologist issued by the State Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.
Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association is essential.
CPR certification is also a requirement.
