Job Title: Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Accel Talent Group.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in repair and maintenance of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, power transmissions, brakes, drivelines, and other automotive systems.

Salary: $25-$40 per hour.

About the Job:

As a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at Accel Talent Group, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting issues across all operating systems.

You will work on diesel trucks and/or buses, utilizing your expertise to execute repairs and maintenance efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine malfunctions in trucks and/or buses using keen observation and listening skills
  • Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues across all operating systems
  • Utilize manuals, hand tools, and power tools to carry out repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, power transmissions, brakes, drivelines, and other automotive systems
  • Remove and replace parts for repair within specified time frames
  • Maintain accurate service data entry for all services performed
  • Operate mobile equipment as needed
  • Provide technical advice to drivers and other operators as required
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere strictly to safety policies and procedures
Requirements:

Essential requirement: High School Diploma or Equivalent GED

Valuable experience: Minimum 2 years in heavy automotive equipment maintenance

Preferred qualification: Trade school or related mechanical/technical certification

Bonus point: Commercial Driver License (CDL) and a safe driving record
