Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant I to join our Neurosurgery team at Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a key member of our inpatient team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our neurosurgeons, and contribute to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with neurological disorders
  • Work collaboratively with neurosurgeons to develop and implement treatment plans
  • Perform procedures, such as lumbar punctures, NGT placement, and central line placement
  • Participate in patient education and counseling
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and patient safety efforts
Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited physician assistant program
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current valid license to practice as a physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration
  • 100 hours of CME every two years
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high volume of patients. The position may require heavy lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
