We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Operations Intern to join our team at Michigan Paving and Materials, a CRH company. As a Construction Operations Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop your skills in project management, asphalt plant operations, construction crews, and business management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in project management, including learning about sourcing, bidding, and the build process for construction projects.
  • Work with estimators to set up contracts and subcontracts.
  • Gain experience in asphalt plant operations, including working with Plant Operators and assisting with general maintenance.
  • Work with construction crews, including learning about construction equipment and preparing for jobs.
  • Assist with business management, including working with operations managers and finance on monthly reporting.
  • Gain experience in aggregate manufacturing, including understanding basic operations and logistics.
Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are working towards a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or business management and have an interest in heavy construction such as site-work, roads, or environmental projects.
