About the Role

Earp Distribution is a leading food distribution company seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join our Transportation Maintenance Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical defects in tractor-trailer equipment, working independently and efficiently.
  • Read and understand technical manuals, including electrical documentation, to ensure accurate repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management through written and verbal reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Respond to breakdowns on the road, utilizing problem-solving skills to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of at least 13 feet 6 inches.
  • Manual dexterity to manipulate heavy parts, machinery, and tools.
  • Environmental awareness when working with hazardous substances.
  • Certification in brakes and refrigeration is preferred.
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using tools and equipment associated with tractor-trailer repair.
Work Environment

The Fleet Mechanic will work outdoors, exposed to varying temperatures, and may be required to lift up to 75 pounds.
