The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking a tenure-eligible faculty position specializing in vitreo-retinal surgery and diseases. **Estimated Salary**
$200,000 - $250,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
**Job Description**
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and contributing to the department's research efforts. A strong background in ocular oncology is desirable but not essential.
**Required Skills and Qualifications**
To be considered for this position, applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree and completed a fellowship in surgical retina. They should be committed to a career in academic medicine and interested in combining clinical practice with resident education and/or research. American Board of Ophthalmology certification or board-eligibility is also required.
