Nursing Services Supervisor Job Description

Altoona Health & Rehab is seeking a skilled and dedicated RN or LPN to join our healthcare team as a Nursing Services Supervisor. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, ensuring residents receive optimal care, and providing direct nursing care as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise nursing staff to ensure high standards of care are consistently met.
  • Monitor and evaluate resident care plans, ensuring they align with physicians' orders and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges of residents, ensuring all protocols are followed.
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments.
  • Lead and participate in training and continuing education programs to keep nursing staff up-to-date on best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and support staff to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
  • Conduct audits and reviews of care plans, medication administration, and other nursing procedures to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
  • Valid RN or LPN license in the state.
  • Supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
