The Vascular Care Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in providing clinical support in our vascular medical office.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Room Support
- Assemble and prepare surgical packs, supplies, and instruments for cases
- Prepare procedure rooms for cases, maintaining a sterile field
- Assist with inventory management for procedure rooms
- Provide technical assistance to physicians and nurses
- Daily Operations Support
- Manage office telephone, including answering calls and providing 24-hour call backs to patients as needed
- Assist with scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments
- Assist with patient referrals and insurance authorization for procedures
- Maintain patient medical information, including medical history and health insurance
- Maintain orders and stock supplies
- Clean and sterilize equipment
- Exam Room Preparation and Support
- Compliance and HIPAA Guidelines
- Surgical technician certification or within 6 months of graduation from an accredited program
- BLS certification
- 1+ year experience in a medical setting, ideally surgical
- Excellent interpersonal skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions precisely
