Agriculture Instructor

This position is responsible for upholding the mission of North Central Texas College by providing high-quality instruction and support to students. The successful candidate will be committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and will be able to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and other college personnel.

• Provide instruction and support to students in agriculture-related courses
• Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and the college
• Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
• Participate in departmental meetings and activities
• Attend and participate in college in-service, workshops, and activities
• Stay current with developments in the subject area and in instructional techniques
• Participate in professional development activities
• Share ideas and materials related to the teaching field and/or pedagogy with colleagues
• Participate in peer classroom observation program
• Advise students regarding class scheduling, degree planning, and career advising

• Bachelor's degree in agriculture, farm and ranch management, or related discipline
• Three years' work experience in agriculture, farm and ranch management, or related field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Ability to promote an effective environment for learning in lecture and lab experiences

• Knowledge of online delivery methods, principles, and techniques
• Community college and/or public school teaching experience
• Online curriculum development and online teaching experience
