Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, configuring, testing, documenting, and troubleshooting communications subsystems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the Responsible Engineer (RE) for communications subsystems
  • Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot communications subsystems
  • Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement Line-of-Sight (LOS) and Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS) communication subsystems to meet mission objectives
  • Work closely with other engineers and technicians to install, configure, and test subsystems in development and test environments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field and 2 years of relevant engineering experience, or a Master's degree in a STEM field with 0 years of engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience designing, configuring, installing, and operating LOS and BLOS communication systems in airborne military applications
  • Demonstrated experience with voice, military, and network waveforms
  • Active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active Special Program Access
  • BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with RF antenna design and performance analysis
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and demonstration activities
  • Experience with performance assessment through link margin and antenna pattern analyses
  • Ability to design, select, and characterize RF designs to meet mission objectives
  • Experience with cryptographic implementations
What We Offer

Northrop Grumman offers a competitive salary range of $71,400 - $107,000, with the potential for a discretionary bonus. We also provide a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
