Position Overview: As a key member of the leadership team, you will report directly to the FSQRA Director at our facility, overseeing the quality and safety of our food products. Your role will involve establishing best practices and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices by all plant staff, including waste management and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to foster a culture of Food Safety and Quality on the production floor.
- Manage timelines and milestones for the Food Safety and Quality Improvement Plan, along with other key metrics.
- Identify and address quality and food safety concerns, both internally and externally, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including USDA, FDA, and OSHA standards.
- Act as a liaison with local regulatory inspectors during their visits to the facility.
- Lead initiatives related to food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, SQF certification, and environmental monitoring.
- Facilitate communication regarding technical and quality assurance issues among operations, RQI, and sales/marketing teams.
- Assist corporate teams with vendor-related quality assurance matters.
- Oversee product quality during the introduction of new products, ensuring the use of relevant tools and methodologies.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the Conagra Performance System.
- Lead audits and ensure compliance with customer and internal quality standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance leadership.
- Proficient in process control monitoring, auditing, and food product manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills, including statistical analysis and process capability assessment.
- Experience in food manufacturing or a related industry.
