Overview:

As a Retail Operations Supervisor, you will cultivate strong relationships with customers while ensuring that all team members deliver a swift, friendly, and helpful shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead a high-performing team.
  • Provide orientation, ongoing coaching, and training to team members; effectively delegate tasks to enhance team efficiency.
  • Create a work environment that promotes employee engagement and teamwork.
  • Conduct monthly team meetings, establish goals, and implement customer service initiatives.
  • Oversee daily operations, including reporting, banking, price adjustments, safety protocols, and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to retail sales and employment.
  • Implement and enforce safety rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred. Previous leadership experience in a dynamic retail, food service, or fuel environment is essential. Candidates should possess:

  • Strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, employees, vendors, and management.
  • Proficient reading, writing, and speaking skills in English.
  • Strong judgment skills for addressing challenging customer or employee issues.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word and Excel, along with a working knowledge of internet and email programs.
  • Good mathematical skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, including on hard surfaces. Responsibilities include product merchandising and restocking, which may require bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to maintain cleanliness in the store and grounds, including snow removal.

Availability:

Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should be prepared to work during peak store hours.

Additional Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with proof of insurance.

Preferred Skills:

Intermediate skills in Math, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Management, Communication, and Customer Service.

Education:

Associates degree or higher in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in Retail Management is required.
