About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Ambriant at Avondale. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
  • Supervise a team of Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure patient care needs are being met.
  • Administer medication accurately and efficiently, maintaining accurate records of care.
  • Monitor vital signs and report any concerns or changes in a resident's condition to the Nursing Supervisor or Director of Nursing.
  • Apply the community's accident, disaster, fire safety, elopement, and emergency procedures to protect residents.
  • Perform CPR upon successful completion of certification.
  • Preserve confidential information about each resident, understanding and following safety and infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Maintain and provide proof of current, unrestricted RN/LPN License.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly, understanding that the facility is considered the resident's home.
  • Honesty, ethics, fairness, and dependability, with respect for confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
  • Meet all health requirements and pass a criminal background check.
Working Conditions

Scheduled hours, with possible overtime. Works in other positions temporarily, when necessary. Subject to frequent interruptions, and involved with residents, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstances.

Physical/Sensory Requirements

Medium work: the ability to exert 10-35 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the day, function independently, and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents and staff.
