In this position, you will oversee the financial management of various construction initiatives by developing comprehensive budgets, managing supplier agreements, assessing production expenses, and validating billing statements.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with project leadership to create a thorough and cost-efficient budget.
  • Handle accounting functions throughout the project lifecycle, including invoice preparation, cash flow estimation, and approval of purchase orders.
  • Evaluate all financial transactions and incorporate unexpected costs into the budget.
  • Maintain accurate records of all project finances for auditing and tax compliance.
  • Conduct cost analysis by interpreting financial data related to projects.
  • Identify and report any financial risks and budget inconsistencies to management.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Execute monthly bank reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing for accounts payable and receivable, AIA billing, payroll, and workers' compensation reporting as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in construction accounting and AIA billing.
  • At least 3 years of experience in either private or public accounting.
  • Strong understanding of construction cost accounting and relevant financial processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry.
  • Exceptional analytical and mathematical abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in a close-knit office environment.
Additional Information:
  • This position requires on-site presence, with expectations of being in the office 4 to 5 days a week, with some flexibility for remote work.
  • This is a full-time role, and compensation will be commensurate with experience.
