Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Supervisor to join our team at Westchester Medical Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for coordinating, directing, and implementing systems, methods, and procedures for the delivery of nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with nursing and hospital administrative staff to ensure standards of practice, departmental philosophy, and overall hospital objectives are accomplished.
  • Exercise administrative supervision over a number of nursing units within the primary areas of responsibility.
  • Provide supervision and training to a number of professional nurses and support staff.
  • Ensure operational activities are conducted on a twenty-four hour, seven-day a week basis.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possession of a valid license and current registration, issued by the New York State Education Department, as a Registered Nurse.
  • Either five years of nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare facility, two of which must have been at a leadership level, or a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Nursing, and four years of nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare facility, two of which must have been at a leadership level.
