Job Title: Post Acute Coordination Specialist - Infection Control

Under the general supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer, we are seeking a highly skilled Post Acute Coordination Specialist - Infection Control to develop and coordinate a hospital-wide program to analyze the incidence and distribution of infectious diseases within the hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and experience in infection control or a related field.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive infection control program to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and patterns in infectious disease incidence and distribution.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement evidence-based infection control practices.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare staff on infection control best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current NC or multistate RN licensure required, with two years of experience in the practice of infection control or a related field.
  • Certification in Infection Control through the CBIC and completion of a formal epidemiology training program preferred.
