Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Monitoring Specialist to oversee and manage the monitoring phase of multiple construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and experience with construction monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage construction monitoring for optical, crack, and vibration metrics.
- Review SOE and foundation plans to develop monitoring strategies.
- Oversee monitoring data collection, ensuring compliance with NYC building code 3309.
- Produce detailed client reports, verifying the stability and performance of adjacent properties.
- Collaborate with field staff, contractors, and clients to ensure project success.
- Conduct pre-construction surveys and review data for movement or stability concerns.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid NY State Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience in civil engineering and construction industry, with an understanding of how soil conditions impact structural integrity.
- Strong working knowledge of NYC DOB codes and construction regulations.
- Solid project management skills with a focus on compliance and safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
