Design Engineer

The Opportunity
The Design Engineer position at WestRock Company provides comprehensive engineering support to Project Management, Estimating, and Manufacturing teams in the development of Permanent Point of Purchase Displays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply engineering principles to design, develop, or modify permanent displays to create innovative solutions.
- Provide technical information to internal and external customers, including drawings, bill of materials, die lines, and hardware specifications.
- Maintain engineering documentation and technical support for production processes.
- Specify vendors and components, and maintain work schedules in real-time.
- Establish communication between the company and vendors.
- Perform reverse engineering to competitively price and manufacture displays.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-year Associate's Degree; a 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or Engineering is preferred.
- Strong grasp of design and engineering principles, and a strong understanding of the manufacturing process.
- Strong problem-solving skills, good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
