About the Role: Oversee and sustain client business accounts while acting as a vital resource for clients and their families concerning funding options for treatment.
Essential Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in managing third-party insurance claims
• Proficient in data entry and computer skills
• Strong verbal communication abilities
• Must possess the emotional and physical capacity to fulfill essential job functions
• Must be free from any active or infectious diseases
Key Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to prescribed work hours and be available for additional hours as needed, including potential overtime.
2. Manage all third-party insurance processing for clients, including benefit determination and verification, financial discussions with clients or guardians, and follow-up on financial commitments, ensuring consistency.
3. Engage in individual case benefit negotiations under supervisor guidance.
4. Provide relevant financial information to staff regarding clients. Ensure staff is informed about proper funding classifications according to current protocols.
5. Facilitate registration for all new and returning clients, including concurrent documentation in electronic health records (EHR) of demographic data, reviewing and ensuring completion of necessary paperwork, and effective communication with clients and staff regarding admissions.
6. Verify Medicaid/Medicare or other insurance coverage and confirm/update financial eligibility and authorizations for all new clients and monthly for all active clients.
7. Assist clients with the Medicaid application process as needed.
8. Coordinate payment activities in line with patient/agency agreements. Collect client payments and maintain precise payment documentation according to standard operating procedures.
9. Keep accurate funding documentation related to daily census activities as applicable.
10. Support clients with the Patient Assistance application process and monitor the granting and application of Patient Assistance funds.
11. Complete authorization requests for Medicaid/Managed Medicaid/Commercial Insurance promptly per standard operating procedures.
12. Enter authorizations into EHR for all applicable guarantors.
13. Provide necessary documentation and reports to assist in the agency's fiscal management.
14. Comprehend and comply with all principles outlined by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
15. Execute all responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
16. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every client.
17. Act as a role model for other staff, clients, and customers, demonstrating positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
18. Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
