Position: Radiology Specialist - Nuclear Medicine
The Radiology Specialist in Nuclear Medicine is responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and advanced imaging technology with minimal oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collects and assesses patient-related data to ensure the production of accurate images.
- Exhibits understanding of age-specific considerations to generate suitable images.
- Delivers high-quality services to healthcare facilities and patients.
- Conducts diagnostic imaging; selects appropriate techniques and protocols to acquire optimal data.
- Administers intravenous or venous line injections of radiopharmaceuticals as directed by the supervising physician.
- Operates and adjusts gamma cameras to capture and process images effectively.
- Ensures safe transfers and assistance for patients.
- Utilizes equipment in a safe manner, adhering to operational guidelines of the facility.
- Prevents the transmission of infections and bloodborne pathogens.
- Follows work instructions and meets the quality and productivity standards of the healthcare facility.
- Adheres to the policies and procedures of Quik Travel Staffing and the healthcare facility.
- Completes tasks independently and professionally.
- Maintains up-to-date skills to perform the aforementioned duties efficiently.
- Observes and complies with all relevant regulations from the facility, JCAHO, Federal, State, and County authorities.
- Performs additional assignments as required by the healthcare facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current License/Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist issued by the State of California, Department of Health Services.
- Must possess a valid CA License to apply.
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification if necessary.
