Job Summary

The Northern Humboldt Union High School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Wild Rivers Indian Education Site Lead. This role will play a critical part in promoting and supporting the educational and cultural needs of Native American students in our district.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement programs to enhance the educational experience of Native American students, including cultural and academic support services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local Native American communities, organizations, and leaders to promote collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Collaborate with district staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the educational and cultural needs of Native American students.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for district staff to enhance their understanding and appreciation of Native American cultures and histories.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of culturally responsive curriculum and instructional materials.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of college education preferred, with a focus on education, cultural studies, or a related field.
  • AA Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the cultures and traditions of the Native American tribes of Northwest California.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with American Indian students and communities.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position will be $23.87-$26.86 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package offered by the Northern Humboldt Union High School District.
