Job Summary:

The Northern Humboldt Union High School District is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the position of Wild Rivers Indian Education Site Lead. This role will play a critical part in promoting and supporting the educational and cultural needs of American Indian students and communities in our district.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programs that promote cultural awareness and understanding among students, staff, and community members.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local American Indian tribes and communities to ensure effective collaboration and support.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and staff on American Indian cultural practices and traditions.
  • Collaborate with district staff to develop and implement policies and procedures that support American Indian students and communities.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in Indian education.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of college education preferred.
  • AA Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with the cultures and traditions of the Native American tribes of Northwest California.
  • Strong understanding and experience working with American Indian students and communities.

Salary: $23.87-$26.86 per hour
