Polysomnographic Technician Senior

Job Summary:

As a Senior Polysomnographic Technician at Highmark Health, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. You will perform all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing, ensuring accurate and efficient results. Additionally, you will assist with clinical and administrative oversight of polysomnographic technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines and departmental policy and procedures.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure a smooth testing experience.
• Organize and prioritize workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner.
• Assist with billing documentation and maintain department records according to departmental policy and procedure.
• Oversee the proper calibration, quality control, and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment.
• Mentor polysomnographic techs and provide educational oversight to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with sleep study testing.
• Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Preferred qualifications include Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, Basic EEG course, RPSGT, CRT, or RRT, and computer experience.
